When Mike found out Twitter had a ranking system, he set out to crack the code . . . and did! Mike has been ranked as high as #2 in the world on Twitter and Twitter Elite, and maintained top 20 rankings for months on end.
He is most proud of his association with Article Cartel, a system that helps websites dominate the Search Engines. In a recent interview, he told me he is one of the select few people in the world that actually knows David “The Boss Man” Cabrini. Mike is also Honorary Master Council for the Cartel and was present at the Conception.

During the show Mike may actually share some of the Cartel Secrets, such as the reasons why everyone needs to implement Article Marketing, and how with the help of The Article Cartel you can even place Videos, Optin Boxes, Buy Buttons, and Links (even Affiliate Links) right in your Articles.

Mike says, “It’s all about the rankings, get ranked high in the Search Engines and you Will Be successful. Now with 1.5 Million unique visitors per month and 4000 web sites, the Article Cartel program makes it EASY and SIMPLE to dominate the Search Engines.

Mike “The Font” Wesely has created several innovative software programs, such as Shopping Carts, Auto Responder, Content Management Systems and Social Networks. If you ask him what makes him the happiest, however, he will tell you it is helping others achieve success in marketing.

Michael Craig ran into him at a recent Social Marketing Workshop where he was a guest speaker, and got a chance to ask him a few questions . . .

Craig: I see you everywhere on Twitter! How did you get to be so highly ranked, for Pete’s sake?!

Wesely: When I found out Twitter had a ranking system, I set out to crack the code, and did. I have been ranked as high as #2 in the world on Twitter and Twitter Elite, and maintained top 20 rankings for months on end. I have also helped a lot of other people use Twitter more effectively through my former online TV show TwitTalk.tv, and through training videos.

Craig: There is word on the street that there’s a new Internet “boss” in town. Can you tell me more about that?

Wesely: Not much. I will say, however, that I’m very proud of my association with Article Cartel, a system that helps websites dominate the Search Engines. I am one of the few people in the world who actually knows David “The Boss Man” Cabrini well enough to join his Honorary Master Council for the Cartel. I was present at the Conception.

Craig: C’mon. Can’t you reveal ANY secrets?

Wesely: I tell you what. As long as there is no recording, I may just do that. The biggest one relates to why everyone needs to implement Article Marketing, and how (with the help of The Article Cartel) you can even place Videos, Optin Boxes, Buy Buttons, and Links (even Affiliate Links) right in your Articles.

Craig: I’ve heard of article maketing, but why is that so important?

Wesely: It’s all about the rankings. Get ranked high in the Search Engines and you Will Be successful. Now with 1.5 Million unique visitors per month and 4000 web sites, Article Cartel gives you an offer you can’t refuse, and makes it easy and simple to dominate the Search Engines.

Craig: Other than developing all those systems, and being a key figure in the Cartel, what else has Mike Wesely done?

Wesely: I was a #1 Best Seller with Co-Authors Dr. Wyne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Randy E. Smith, and Mark Victor Hanson. I’ve also been kicked in the butt by a 9-foot tall Ostrich. But that’s another story for another time . . .

Craig: I look forward to hearing that one! will you come on my blog talk radio show and talk about it?

Wesely: Be delighted.

If you are as old as I am (few people are these days) do you remember sales training where you learned to stick your foot in the door, talk a lot, guide the conversation, overcome objections, and push the product before they got buyer’s remorse? I do.

Consequently, I used to think (and rightfully so at the time) that the words “selling” and “marketing” were bad words. Thankfully I found out the definition has really CHANGED in this age of the Internet and Social media!

This past weekend, I had the privilege of spending quality time with some of the premier Social Media (Social Marketing) experts in the country. Gina Gaudio-Graves, Ron Capps, and Mike Wesely shared their success stories, love and wisdom with a small group of us gathered at the Defoor Center in Atlanta – an event sponsored by online marketer, Phil Cullum.

The biggest thing I walked away with is this: Selling online (or off-line)

Michael with Gina G

does not mean pushing stuff onto people they don’t want. Selling and social marketing means connecting with the customer first, getting lots of feedback, customizing products and services based on this feedback, and delivering them in a way that really serves the customer.

The Internet has transformed the way we do business into a much more customer-oriented community. By getting to know each other as friends and associates, “marketing” becomes simply another word for social networking and connecting heart-to-heart.

Mike Wesely, et al.

Once upon a time there was this older fellow who lost his sanity to technology.

He blogged. He tweeted. He even facebooked and LinkedIn-ed. Still there were more and more people wanting more and more of his time to buy more and more of their stuff-ideas-beliefs-and-more.

Eventually he went a little nuts, took his boat out, and tossed his computer and I-phone into the lake. Afterwards he took out his fishing pole, threw the line in, and spent the rest of the day floating around while mumbling under his breath.

Everyone – especially his kids – said he was insane. “How can you just give up the ability to connect with new friends, customers, prospects, and followers???” He just grabbed his bait box and walked out the door, smiling.

He fished for months, and even caught something once in a while. Then one day, Conan O’Brien found the guy had stopped tweeting, and called him up. He got his answering machine… “I’ve gone fishing. Leave a message and I might get back to you.”

“This is Conan O’Brien. This is your lucky day. I’m going to give you a million dollars for being the only American left whose NOT tweeting!”

Since he was always out fishing, this guy never got his messages. He did, however, catch the best bass ever found in that lake!

So what’s the moral of the story? Live your passion, and don’t let the technology overwhelm you. When it does, stop. Or at least slow down.

Is technology really taking over our lives and driving us crazy? Are we becoming like the humanoids in The Matrix – dumbed-down versions of real people?

Maybe. I don’t know. What I DO know is that if you have a passion for something, you will find ways to share this thing with others. Technology – as overwhelming as it can be – is simply a tool. It is simply a way to share your passion with others.

Young people take to this stuff like a duck to water. They relish the thought of having 15 applications running simultaneously while they drive or sit in class. They instinctively see how their passion is translated to sharing.

I remember these thoughts of wanting to ditch the whole thing. Heck, I even bought a cabin in the woods where I CAN’T get cell phone messages or the Internet! Its a place I can go to de-stress, unwind. Relax.

So find the time to unwind. The act with passion. Don’t have a passion? Simply ask yourself this before going to sleep: “What would I be doing, if I didn’t have to ‘earn a living’?” Then let the answer come to you during the night.

Once you have your passion. Start writing about it. If you don’t write, talk! There are programs out there that can write for you!

However you do it, here are the steps to harness technology for your passion:

Create a blog

Write (or record) stuff,

Use keywords and link to other interesting sites,

Have Ping.fm or some other bookmarking site bounce your posts around the internet, and

Do this a few hundred times,

Then go fishing!

Not a fisherman? No problem. Do something else you love. If you are blogging about your passion, go learn more about that passion from another source. Play. Have fun. Learn how to de-stress . . . your own way!

Jackie Tulos is a working mom with over 21 years of experience in the dental industry. But there was a time when her challenges met an opportunity.

In 2006, Jackie’s mother had cancer, she had three kids, and needed more time to spend with both. So she looked to the Internet as a possible solution.

Ms. Tulos will talk about these and other challenges (and opportunities) as Michael’s guest tonight on Logical Soul Talk at 6 pm. Learn about some of the struggles she has overcome, and her continued efforts to balance two careers and a family. Ms. Tulos will also touch on her current passion: teaching small businesses how to brand themselves using social media.

Since 2006, Jackie has become one of the leading experts in small business-related Interent marketing. Through her own small company, Infinite Possibilities Marketing, LLC, she works with clients to help them build an effective online presence, raise their Google ranking, and increase traffic. She shows how this can be done from her own blog/website.

In the beginning, she admits, it was just about convenience. “It (Internet marketing) was a great business to start,” says Jackie. “I could do it any time of day, 3am or 1pm. This was great because I never knew when my mom was going to need me.”

Today, that business is growing enough to where Jackie soon hopes to quit her “day job” and devote full time to her passion. With help and support from her husband Joe and her three children, Madison, Taylor and Blake, she is getting there quickly.

So if you are a working mom looking for home business ideas, want to learn more about social media, or a business that just needs more customers, tune in tonight to learn how to turn your hassles into opportunities. The call-in hotline is (347) 843-4544.

Today on www.BlogTalkRadio.com (at 6 pm ET) I get to speak with young entrepreneur and social media expert Gabe Strom from Illinois.

Gabe is young in age but old in experience. Starting at age 19 (he’s only 28 now) he has evolved into a successful online and social media entrepreneur with a very large following on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and his own Ustream TV show!

Gabe is a public speaker, small business coach and consultant dedicated to understanding why 90% of small businesses fail, and how to get more of these so-called failures to somehow do what the other 10% do consistently. He teaches his clients to use online video marketing to authentically brand themselves and their unique expertise, product or service.

I found Gabe just by cruising Twitter and Facebook and noticed he had oodles of followers. Curious as to how he accomplished this, I aksed him on the show. I also want to find out his motivation, life turning points, early influences and more.

Join me on this fascinating journey to discover what lies in the mind and soul of this future giant of this “new economy” . . . and how his success can mean business in your life!
