Before the Secret is a “new” book originally based on the work of Charles F. Haanel, a self-made entrepreneur. Mr. Haanel published the book in 1912 as The Master Key System, and went on to reveal ideas that later became known as The Secret, The Law of Attraction, and even Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill!
Now is your chance to get a copy of this great work now, i.e., 24 weeks of inspired lessons (a $50 Value) . . . for FREE! Visit www.MyWealthAttraction.com and my friend R. Daniel Lutra will make sure you get a copy. I don’t know how long this offer will last, so don’t delay!

Hypnosis and the Law of Attraction
Posted by: | Comments
A friend of mine just forwarded another program I should check out because it “might be useful” for me. My friend was right . . . the information WAS useful, but not for the reasons he may have thought.
The program he sent me to check on involved The Law of Attraction, and using hypnosis, EFT and similar techniques to “re-program the mind.”
My feelings towards these other programs are mixed. On one hand I can see that – so far – no one yet understands the principles behind The Logical Soul(tm), meaning my findings are unique. On the other hand, this uniqueness tends to be a bit lonely. Let me explain…
I’ve long had the sneaking suspicion that my discovery on that special afternoon in mid-1992 was something no one else had come across. What I discovered that day – and ensuing days – opened up a relationship with the so-called “subconscious mind” in such a way that I could never, ever, consider it a “thing” again.
It was, in fact, such a powerful opening that I dubbed this being “The One Who Makes Things Happen” to describe its overall power in our lives. I quickly developed a fervent admiration for this being, as well as an abiding love. In turn, this Ku or Unihipili (Huna terms) slowly began to reveal his secrets to me.
I also soon observed that very few others had this relationship – many of whom were teaching “facts” about the subconscious mind . . . and ways to control it. Many of their observations, however, were one-sided . . . rehashing many of the same “mind control” ideas that have been around for ages.
Observing this, I often felt like watching my favorite pet being used to perform as a circus animal. While I didn’t feel sorry for this powerful being, I was a bit saddened that its power was being grossly under-utilized. This so-called “subconscious” is my friend. I therefore find it difficult to watch others try to control the power, beauty and grace of someone they don’t fully understand!
But let me back up a little . . .
So many teachers and coaches – successful, motivating, and powerful – keep talking about the same thing, i.e., the Law of Attraction. Over and over. And that’s good! I totally agree: the Law of Attraction is one of the most important discovery of our time.
The L.O.A. is the way the “Subconscious Being” communicates with our Conscious Being, or mind. It becomes the mimic – what we put in, we get out. It is simple, direct, and immutable. Like the Law of Gravity, it always works.
The problem is not the Law of Attraction. It is the WAY success coaches teach people to harness it! The ones I’ve seen – and there have been many – appear to use the same tired approach that has been around since Franz Mesmer titillated the ladies in the palace of Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI in the late 1700′s.
Mesmer and others discovered that a master hypnotist could control, re-direct, and re-program the mind to do amazing things. This is still true today. While, however, this may produce immediate results, in the long-run it may also tend to produce adverse results like depression, anxiety, or even worse.
But don’t take my word for it; just look around. Several generations so far have been subject to TV and technology addiction. Symptoms like ADHD, OCD and other disorders almost surely result from this barrage of undiluted mind control! Like weapons of mass destruction, hypnosis in the hands of those who seek to persuade us against our will can be deadly!
The truth is, we have been subjected to hypnosis all our lives! We were programmed even before birth to accept certain truths about the “way things are.” This acceptance provides us with a degree of stability, albeit illusory. As soon as a conflicting program comes along and worms its way into our consciousness, we may become agitated or upset if the change is too radical.
New hypnotic suggestions only work in cases where basic survival/moral decisions (being) and conscious logic are in alignment with the new suggestion. Otherwise, it will fail long-term but still create anxiety and depression in the subject. One cannot hypnotize a law-abiding man, for example, to kill someone in cold blood – unless its a sudden crime of passion. This suggestion would go against his underlying being, and conscious logic, and would quickly create great stress in his mind, or cause him to come unglued altogether.
Or it wouldn’t work at all. In almost every case like this, the long-term effects are avoided, i.e., murder and imprisonment.
If one’s basic programming and logic are harnessed to support the new suggestion, it almost always “takes,” or becomes a part of one’s being. When Neo first understood the power and logic of the Matrix, for example, he became sick, but soon adapted to his new “program,” despite the completely radical shift in perception.
The conscious mind must be allowed to play a part in any new programming. In the case of the law-abiding man hypnotized to kill, both the logic (killing results in punishment) and feeling (based on hidden decisions and programming) are against his new suggestion. Despite that, a strong hypnotic suggestion can create an internal battle, e.g., stress, irritation, emotional upheavals, physical symptoms, and even unexpected and sudden changes in ones environment or surroundings.
For a seasoned criminal, however, the suggestion to kill may not be so radical. If his underlying being suggests “Life is a battle and you have to fight to survive,” he will do whatever it takes if he feels (rightly or wrongly) survival is at stake. A new hypnotic suggestion that “Life is safe, and others love you” may have NO effect on such an individual. His being and logic will discard the suggestion, and anxiety will arise.
Similarly, you cannot program financial success in the mind of a person who – deep down – may have made an organic (non-verbal) decision at age 2 that “success means Mommy and Daddy go away,” or something similar. It either won’t work, or will give rise to adverse symptoms. Until the person’s conscious mind as well as the subconscious being can embrace a new definition of success, i.e., “The more success I have, the more love I feel…” nothing will shift. Real communication between mind & body (conscious & subconscious) solidifies this new decision.
Techniques like hypnosis, self-hypnosis, EFT, NLP, and “programming the subconscious mind” for success usually only works for those ALREADY prone to – or neutral towards – success. They may do little or nothing for the majority of folks in society who live just above the level of survival! Their basic programming is often too strong to be replaced unless we can access these hidden decisions by establishing a real relationship.
Until we stop objectifying “the subconscious mind” as a thing to be “programmed,” hypnotized or controlled, we are destined to keep searching for that relationship.
A slave cannot truly love his master. The only way to lasting success with one’s “subconscious being” is to relinquish one-sided efforts. Accept the reality of the underlying decisions and then negotiate!
Logical Soul Talk: Your Limits to Wealth

Do you know what prevents money from coming to you? Whether you do or don’t, be sure to tune in online to Logical Soul Talk tonight at 6 pm (ET) to find out, or call our Question Hotline at (347) 843-4544. This is my FOURTH LESSON in a series of 5 on “Branding from the Soul.”
Wealth can always be traced back to how you use The Law of Attraction. If its not working for you, then you have a few negative concepts about money neatly tucked away in your subconscious mind that send out a signal to the Universe “Stay away!”
The problem is, you probably figure it has to do with the thoughts you entertain during the day, so you try to stay positive and think happy thoughts. This doesn’t work.
Your actions and general “vibes” are huge magnets – or repellents – for money and those who bring it to you. Tune in to Logical Soul Talk this evening at 6 pm to learn which subconscious attitudes we hold onto that repel money . . . and what to do about it!! I will reveal
- The 4 powerful statements you can use to test for your “wealth attraction capacity,”
- How to test the body (subconscious) for feedback, and
- How to change negative internal truths to positive ones.

Why Success Courses Don’t Work
Posted by: | Comments
Is Success Out There Somewhere?
Let’s face it . . .
In addition to books like Think and Grow Rich there have been hundreds – nay, thousands – of books, tapes, programs and seminars on how to succeed in finding wealth and happiness from the same number of very successful entrepreneurs, artists, scientists, athletes, and others who know how to be successful, and teach these success courses.
The problem is – they don’t necessarily know the best way to get you there. With so many personal issues, hidden decisions, lack of early role models, and a feeling of hopelessness pervasive among the vast majority of the human population, its a statistical miracle, really, that any of us should be able to emerge as success stories.
But we do . . . at least some of us! The rest of us believe we can’t make it because we don’t have enough motivation, education, encouragement, persistence, or resources. But we are told to believe otherwise, and many of us go along with this suggestion from successful speakers and motivators.
If you are one of those among us, here’s the real scoop . . .
Let’s say you buy all their books, take their seminars, listen to their tapes and use their programs. This is what I call a “feel good” exercise because we really feel like we are “doing something for me!”
But then the work begins and we get wimpy. The motivation lags. The affirmations don’t work. The Law of Attraction starts attracting neighbors with pit bulls and late-night parties. So when the courses don’t work, it becomes YOUR fault that you failed. (If you don’t believe me, read their legal disclaimers to get the full scope of your responsibility.)
This, however, is a win-win. They get to win because they obviously showed you the right way to commit to your goals and succeed. You, on the other hand, get to win because you proved once again to yourself “This won’t work for me.” Your hidden decision to “succeed by failing” has too firm a grasp on your consciousness – with little reason for your subconscious to change.
Now, think about that for a minute. At any given moment you decide on a goal, you either believe
a) I can do it or
b) I can’t do it.
YOUR BODY – that fine-tuned instrument of actual truth – will instantly decide if (a) you can do this or (b) leave it alone, you can’t do it, you’re not going to do it… or some other reason that may be hidden from your conscious mind.
So when you set your goals and affirmations,
• Wouldn’t it be nice to have your left AND right brains on board?
• Wouldn’t it be nice to have the body on board?
• Wouldn’t it be nice to have the emotions on board?
• Wouldn’t it be nice to have intuition come into play effortlessly, and
• Wouldn’t it be nice if the memory of ancestors, family, friends, and everything that’s ever happened in your life would not hold you back whenever you make a decision?
You can do this. But you must be able to get what is called “cybernetic feedback” from your body and subconscious in order to navigate through this “soul logic” that exists inside you – out of the reach of your conscious understanding and control.
This is where muscle testing comes in. More on this in the next article.
Success is Only a Hidden Decision Away

North Pole Sunset
Because I’ve been doing the Logical Soul(tm) work for about 18 years, I sometimes forget how important the results can be for someone who has never experienced accessing and changing a hidden decision before. This was driven home to me recently after receiving the following email testimonial from a recent client – a success coach who was having trouble with her OWN success. The content has not been edited:
Did I tell you… the first day I met you and went through the exercises about deserving the success and wealth I teach my own entrepreneurial clients, that when I got home I hade a voice mail which contained 4 new customers.
Since I saw you in your office… I had another new client who paid me in advance for entrepreneur coaching (we have not even scheduled it or done a contract or invoicing). She said she just had to sow a seed into my business immediately, that night. That same person & one other person, signed on with my other business venture. Again, they were not even ready to do the work, but were compelled to sign up & pay. WOW!
ALSO since then a media company out of Florida has asked me to be their chair person of their leadership committee in Atlanta. Double WOW…
I look forward to continuing my work with Logical Soul & my mother is enjoying your book. Oh yeah, aaaand…a old client who owed me money for a session from last year, emailed me & asked me to re-invoice her and a few days later she paid. Triple WOW…
So what ever you accessed in me has opened a door of blessings. I look forward to more financial success and breakthrough. I’m working now, almost insatiably with the Law of Attraction, because I feel after your
session, that success in going to come to me amazingly fast. And I want to be ready for it, by directing my thoughts about what I want, so as I’m moving fast & manifesting fast, I can attract & be ready for the right things…that meet my needs & wants.
You are a Godsend.

How to Deal with Criticism and Failure
Posted by: | Comments
Seed of Failure?
How do you deal with criticism or failure in your life?
Does it make you downtrodden? Sad? Or do you get angry or upset? Does this feeling Last? Or do you just slough it off and move on?
These are important considerations – how you handle both criticism and failure. In fact, this single factor is the basis of your success. Your ability to rebound from certain failure – not the failure itself – determines whether or not you are a winner.
That doesn’t mean you have to fail constantly to be successful, no. But failure is inherent in success . . . just as stumbling is inherent in learning to walk. Everybody does it; everybody fails. And it’s said that the only barrier to success is giving up.
I looked at this for years and years, because I failed more times than I’ve succeeded; in fact many more times. In the beginning of these failures I was totally crushed. Defeated. I had this feeling inside like somebody punched me in the stomach; did it to me personally. Each failure became like a personal cross I had to bear . . . and it hurt. I mean, failure absolutely hurts in the beginning.
While I knew most of the problem was inside me, that knowledge didn’t help. There was something there, inside myself; inside my gut that just did not allow me to move forward.
Affirmations, success training, writing down and repeating goals, and rah-rah seminars and other motivational training only served to add to my despair once the smoke had cleared and reality set in.
I discovered there is a distinct difference between those who operate under what I call the “seed of failure” (SOF) and those who operate under a different set of rules entirely . . . governed by what I call the “seed of success” (SOS). Based on the Law of Attraction, there is a pattern of either failure or success that is born and set in motion, depending on which seed you own.
Based on the fact that my life mostly sucked, I was aware I probably operated out of the first seed (SOF). It took me most of my life, however, to discover exactly what my own seed of failure was and how to root it out.
The reason was that this seed – like that which sprouts and grows into a kudzu plant in the southern United States – was extremely powerful and resistant (Riddle: How do you grow Kudzu? Answer: Throw the seeds on the ground, fertilize them with concrete blocks, and run like heck before it grows all over you!). All the affirmations and goal-setting in the world was not going to dislodge this sucker!
We are born with both seeds of failure and success. One, however, is dominant. Maybe it became dominant in the first few years of our life. Maybe it became dominant through ancestral tendencies. I don’t know. What I do know, however, is that most people are either born with, or develop at an early age, the tendency to fail. The innate strong drive for success is a rare gift.
By the way, the “seed of failure” (SOF) is NOT the same failure spoke of by those I call “The Great Ones” – those I consider to be the masters of Achievement – high-income earners and producers. Most of their failures – though many – had to do with circumstances, or outside obstacles and barriers. They still had their emotional/mental Seed of Success (SOS) firmly planted, even if it started out small, or wasn’t apparent to others.
Different success and motivation gurus report their own unique trials and tribulations, i.e., arriving in the US “with a buck-fifty in my pocket;” “sleeping in my apartment bathtub;” “selling vacuum cleaners door-to-door” and other delightful memories. These, however, only strengthened their resolve (or SOS) to achieve unbelievable success in later life. One with the Seed of Success, in fact, uses all these failure stories to actually lay the foundation for his or her later success.
In the beginning of my search for success I even took a page from their book. I started documenting all my humble circumstances in hopes this exercise would spur me to greater success as well. It didn’t. After a decade of writing all this stuff down, nothing changed. I finally decided to ditch the whole thing after the stack of sob stories got too depressing to look at!
It took some very subtle stealth tactics and quite a bit of grace (and maybe a touch of luck) to be able to access my own SOF and render it impotent. I’m sharing this with you in hopes that you won’t have to repeat what I went through, along with countless others.
If you’re young, that’s great. You can take this information now and use it to expand your SOS exponentially. If you’re older, you will have a deeper appreciation of the fact that anything that allows the subconscious to go from failure to success is, indeed, a remarkable process!!

Posted by: | CommentsHow to Fail by Using Affirmations
Posted by: | Comments
Do you really think that yelling some affirmation to your spouse over and over again will make a difference in his or her behavior?
No? Then why do we persist in doing this same thing to our subconscious mind – the source of all feelings, memory, and unlimited intelligence and wisdom? Our conscious mind can only direct (and is really pretty stupid).
Contrary to popular psychology and positive-motivation-teaching, the subconscious is not a “thing” that can be manipulated or turned on or off like some light switch. It is the source of all our knowledge and power, and is wise to all our tricks. If there were a decision made to limit money or income, it is because this is a “prime directive” that was given very early in your life that governs your actions and where you are right now!
If you really want to fail at finances, try this: repeat “I am rich and wealthy beyond my wildest dreams.” Do this over and over for a month. After that period is over, one of two things will happen:
- You’ll discover untapped sources of creativity and wealth within yourself, or
- You will feel more frustrated than ever.
Obviously, the first scenario is the one whose picture is presented by all the self-made millionaire gurus out there. They tell you that by repeating positive thoughts over and over again you get into the habit of success and money. The Law of Attraction and all that…
There’s only one problem: most self-made millionaires came into this world with – or developed at an early age – an inner resolve that can overcome any obstacle. This IS their prime directive. Without it, nobody can succeed. WITH it, anyone can perform money miracles. That’s why affirmations work for them, and why they think it can work for everyone. But it doesn’t.
True, most self-made millionaires had multiple challenges and often poor upbringings. But they also have what most of us don’t have – that “iron resolve,” “fire in the belly” or “inner direction” that eludes those of us who see failure as an option over and over again.
Given this scenario, affirmations work wonders for those with an inner resolve. For those of us less endowed, however, affirmations can only dig a deeper hole in our psyche. Here’s how a typical inner conversation might go:
“I am rich and wealthy…”
“Are you kidding?”
“I am rich and wealthy…”
“No you’re not. You have thirty dollars in the bank and are in debt up to your eyeballs!”
“I am rich and wealthy…”
“Do you want to fail like your brother did? This is crazy talk.”
“I am rich and wealthy…”
“Tell you what say that one more time and I’ll NEVER let you be ‘rich and wealthy!!’”
“I am rich and …”
You get the idea. BAM! Failure strikes despite all your conscious good intentions. The thing is, you’ve got to speak to your subconscious “self” the same way you would to a powerful friend or servant. It will do your bidding . . . but only if there is no prime directive opposing it!
Go easy on the affirmations. Take baby steps. Celebrate small successes each day. Then your subconscious will reward you with greater and greater trust.
The Real Law of Attraction & Manifestation
Posted by: | CommentsIf you’ve been hanging out any motivation and/or self-help folks for any length of time, you’ve no doubt hear of the book “The Secret” and its “Law of Attraction.”

RU Manifesting Your Desires?
Simply stated, the Law of Attraction says that whatever you expect to be or happen in life – really expect deep down – will happen. It says that you cannot consistently entertain negative thoughts and expect positive results.
I happen to agree with this assessment. After all, it IS the law, is it not?…
Those who teach and write about the Law of Attraction have discovered that it has worked in their lives, and they attempt to share this profound truth with others. The problem, however, is that few of those I call (lovingly and sincerely, I might add) “The Great Ones” truly understand the depth of the roots of negativity, and why it is so hard for those who fail consistently to overcome the “Seeds of Failure.”
Affirmations work for some, not others. Goals and resolutions work for some and not others. In fact, it is very hard for most people to change their thoughts and take action in the direction of their greatest desires.
But why? Let’s explore this universal dilemma…
First of all, just because you are able to “attract” something does NOT mean you can recognize, assimilate or manifest it when it arrives! Let me give you an example:
Let’s say you have a Vitamin D deficiency. Normally, sunlight is the answer and all you have to do is sit in it for a few hours. Problem solved, right? Well . . .
I discovered that just because the sun hits the skin does NOT mean that the result is Vitamin D. In fact, there are many people who live in tropical (i.e., very sunny) climates who suffer from this deficiency! Their bodies are simply unable to assimilate the benefits and produce the required vitamin. This, by the way is true of all vitamins, minerals, and most supplements. Many people either have problems digesting them, or assimilating them in other ways . . . and these problems lead to disease.
Now let’s look at positive thinking - the first step (according to many who teach the Law of Attraction) for attracting a desired result. Let’s say you spend days, months or even years “thinking positive” and wiping out all negativity in your life. For many people this will indeed produce very positive results.
For some who suffer from the ‘Seed of Failure,” however, things will only stay the same or get worse. Why? They were unable to assimilate this positive input and manifest the results outwardly. Let me explain. . .
You must have a real sense of what you desire inside before it actually manifests in your world outside. In fact, that’s the way the mind works and world manifests: from above-down and inside-out!
If you ever have a thought about something like, “Hmm, I think I want some green tea and Thai food”?
First, there appears to be a feeling, i.e., the body says there’s a hunger or thirst present. The feeling arises in the body that “I’m hungry.” Then the memory kicks in, something like “I really like Thai food because it was really tasty last week!”
Once the thoughts and feelings converge inside, a desire arises: “I want Thai food.” Then, you begin to make plans. You’re feet begin to walk to the door, you grab your keys, you go to the car, you get in to the car, you drive with your wife, boyfriend, girlfriend to the Thai restaurant; you sit, you order, the green tea and food comes, and you eat.
Then something happens: the fulfillment of that desire takes place.
But really, what happened first? Was it the thought or was it the impulse that brought the thought about? The answer is the impulse happened first.
The impulse arises and then the thought arises. Then some action happens and achievement takes place, i.e., being at the Thai restaurant and ordering the food. Then the fulfillment of that desire: tasting the food.
So, if you want something to happen outside, the Law of Manifestation states that you must first have this impulse, this thought, this desire inside. This law – like the Law of Attraction – works for both positive or negative thoughts or impulses. It doesn’t care. Who you are deep inside is what you manifest.
Something arises within your consciousness that says “I want this,” then the thought manifest as an outside ripple of actions and events. This means that
- Thoughts are not something that you do.
- Thoughts are things that you have.
- Thoughts arise from deep within your consciousness.
There IS a way to direct your destiny. In addition to the law of Attraction, you must, through muscle testing and other means, begin to find out where those impulses lie and where those thoughts actually came from.
Once you tap into hidden reservoirs of thought previously unavailable to you, you quickly discover the reasons why certain thoughts, feelings and desires arise within you in the first place. You will also learn how to change and redirect them when necessary!
So long as the original reasons are there, all you can do is have the original

JFK's Affirmation: Ich bin ein Berliner!
thought and desire. And, consequently, you can only have the original (i.e., predestined) outcome. The Law of Attraction - based on the higher Law of Manifestation – can only attract those impulses that lie at the core of your soul . . . beyond any thought!
If you want different outcomes, tap into that hidden reservoir of intelligence and desire. Find out where the thought comes from.
It’s fairly simple to do. Using feedback techniques, ask your body about these deeper impulses. Only your body and so-called subconscious mind can tell you these things.
Once done, you will be able to change decisions on a very deep level and create what you want inside so that very soon you’ll be able to manifest your goals outside.
