Time vs. Health
It seems like only yesterday I was 35. Â So when I woke up back in March feeling like 95, it came as quite a surprise. Although I was “only 64,” health issues were suddenly at the forefront.
I was at a loss to explain my sudden health problems. Â I have been taking great care of myself for the past 45 years and knew more than most people about health-related issues and a healthy lifestyle.
“I don’t have time for this,” I said, arguing with my body who obviously had other ideas. Â “I have to save the world, make tons of money and retire to the beach.”
The medical bills piling up on my desk said otherwise. Â I had to pay this stuff since I was not yet eligible for Medicaid…
It was a moment of truth for me. Â I obviously did NOT have all the answers, and became more open to alternative ideas. Â That’s when the magic couple came to dinner…
The Visitors
Mary and John came to visit last week. Â Handsome couple. Â Mary, 72, Â actually looks as if she’s in her mid 40’s. Â Then they revealed their secret: Â they were able to find weak links in their DNA that threatened their long-term health.
“Sometimes,” Mary said, “the solution is very easy and inexpensive.” Â She said she found out that her being vegetarian was creating a stress on her heart that would lead to heart disease unless she was able to add a specific amino acid to her diet . . . that only came from meat.
She did, and never looked back.
“You can also get this information and avoid debilitating diseases down the road that are sitting idle in your DNA.”
Is The Solution At Hand?
While this is not quite Star Trek medicine, DNA sequencing information comes close.  And, while I cannot say this will help you at all, it is certainly worth checking out.
Here are the steps Mary gave us:
- Go to www.23andme.com and order your DNA sequence. Â It costs either $99 or $199, depending on which service you want. Â Either service, however, will help you with the next step.
- Visit www.MTHFR.net (once you get the results of your DNA Sequence) for information by Dr. Ben Lynch on how to get more valuable information from that sequence to discover weak links in the form of unwanted gene mutations (snps).
That’s it. Â Two steps and you will have what you need to avoid life-threatening or debilitating diseases that may be waiting in the wings.
Do it now – for you, your spouse, and your kids. Â You will thank me later.
Sincerely wishing you good health,
Michael
