Its Never Too Late To Learn…

I’m sorry its been a month since the last Ezine, but I’ve been busy.  Since my trip to Peru has fallen through for the moment, I decided to finish renewing my chiropractic license for Georgia.

I’ve been out of chiropractic for a while, however, so I was told by the licensing board to audit 100 hours of courses at my friendly neighborhood accredited chiropractic college before I could finally get that piece of paper again . . . at age 65!

So I did, at Life University, my old Alma Mater.

Fortunately I don’t have to take any exams to get my license re-established, just audit classes.   This is good news;   I last got tested in 1983!

The Three R’s

Hanging around with young people is a trip.  Nobody totes around books any more.  Its all online now, and I-pads are everywhere.  I’m the only weirdo in class writing stuff down.

Used to be, you learn the 3 R’s – Reading, ‘Ritin’ and ‘Rithmatic.  These days its Radiology, Review, and Reassessment, along with  technique, emergency procedures, professional ethics and such.

I also learned there is a technique called NET (Neuro-Emotional Technique) that was developed by a chiropractor back in the 1990s that is very similar to my Logical Soul® technique. This method, however like tapping and other touch techniques,  lacks the “Access” portion needed to get results with more difficult cases.

Rewards

I’m glad I made the decision to get my license again, however.  Since having to return to class, I’ve made lots of new friends, both with the professors (many of whom are younger than me) and students.  I’ll actually be done in a week – by November 2nd.

If you get a chance, sign up for a course or two at your local college.  Who knows; like me you might learn something, and the experience will be a great one.

Rewarding?  Yes, but mainly because, remember, I don’t have to take those silly tests!!  (Nyah ha ha!)

Here’s to your Success,
Michael
